ACTITUDES SOBRE USO DE CONSENTIMIENTO INFORMADO EN PROYECTOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE MEDICINA

RESUMEN: La investigación científica, requiere conocer y aplicar aspectos éticos y metodológicos,  para lograr un alto nivel científico y la protección de los sujetos que  participan en el estudio. Uno de los principios éticos de la investigación es el respeto de los participantes de una investigación y se traduce en la práctica en la toma de consentimiento informado en todos los proyectos de investigación que involucre seres humanos. Los estudiantes de medicina investigan constantemente, de allí la importancia de conocer sus actitudes sobre el uso de consentimiento informado en sus proyectos. Objetivo: Determinar las actitudes de los estudiantes de medicina sobre el uso de consentimiento informado en investigación. Material y métodos: Se aplicó una encuesta anónima voluntaria entre estudiantes de medicina, elegidos al azar en un estudio de campo de diseño trasversal con una muestra conformada por 130 alumnos. El estudio fue de carácter voluntario y anónimo y se empleó una encuesta sobre los principales contenidos que debería tener un formato de  consentimiento informado en proyectos de investigación. Los datos obtenidos en la encuesta se analizaron de acuerdo a frecuencias y se presentan los resultados más resaltantes. Resultados: Se evaluó a 130 estudiantes de medicina.  Un 72,3 % de los estudiantes estaba de acuerdo con la toma de consentimiento informado en toda investigación científica. Conclusión: El estudio concluye que los estudiantes de medicina tienen actitudes favorables frente al uso del consentimiento informado en las investigaciones, sin embargo la información que ellos están dispuestos a incluir no es completa, ya que están en desacuerdo en incluir el total de los 16 ítems de la encuesta del estudio.

ABSTRACT: Scientific research requires knowing and applying ethical and methodological aspects, to achieve a high scientific level and the protection of subjects participating in the study. One of the ethical principles of the research is respect for research participants and translates into practice in making informed consent in all research projects involving human beings. Medical students investigate constantly, hence the importance of knowing their attitudes about the use of informed consent in their projects. Objective: To determine the attitudes of medical students in the use of informed consent in research. Materials and Methods: voluntary anonymous survey among medical students randomly selected in a field study of cross-sectional design with a sample composed of 130 students was applied. The study was voluntary and anonymous. A survey was used to inquire the main contents that should contain a form of informed consent in research projects according to students. Data from the survey were analyzed according to frequency and the most striking results are presented. Results: 130 medical students were evaluated. 72.3% of students agreed with the taking of informed consent in all scientific research. Conclusion: The study concludes that medical students have favorable attitudes towards the use of informed research consent, however the information they are willing to include is not complete, as they are in disagreement include the total of 16 items survey study.
