RESUMEN: Este artículo describe los resultados de una investigación que tuvo como objetivo general identificar y determinar los aspectos más relevantes que influyen en la satisfacción de los estudiantes universitarios de la ciudad de Arequipa que actualmente cursan asignaturas virtuales a causa de la coyuntura actual (COVID-19).

El desarrollo de la investigación se realizó entorno a metodologías que permitieron recopilar información a través de encuestas, grupos focales, entrevistas y observación documental que fueron analizadas e interpretadas obteniendo finalmente resultados que indicaron una relación positiva entre la educación a distancia y la satisfacción del estudiante, así mismo, identificamos que más de la mitad de los estudiantes estarían dispuestos a seguir llevando asignaturas virtuales. Por otro lado, se llegó a la conclusión que el rol del docente y su capacitación constante tiene una gran influencia en el grado de satisfacción del estudiante; de la misma manera, el avance tecnológico juega un papel importante para la implementación del sistema educativo virtual.

ABSTRACT: This article describes the results of the research whose overall objective was to identify and determine the most relevant aspects that influence the satisfaction of university students in the city of Arequipa who are currently taking virtual subjects due to the current situation (COVID-19).

The development of the research was carried out around methodologies that allowed collecting information through surveys, focus groups, interviews and documentary observation that were analyzed and interpreted, finally obtaining results that indicated a positive relationship between distance education and student satisfaction. Likewise, we identified that more than half of the students would be willing to continue taking virtual subjects. On the other hand, we come to the conclusion that the role of the teacher and his constant training influences the degree of student satisfaction, in the same way, technological advance plays an important role for the implementation of the virtual educational system.
