INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL FACTORS ON THE GROWTH OF TEXTILE MICRO-ENTERPRISES OPERATING IN METROPOLITAN AREQUIPA, 2016 - 2017

RESUMEN: Objetivo. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la influencia de los factores financieros y operativos (crédito, inversión en activos fijos y mano de obra) en el crecimiento de las microempresas textiles que funcionan en Arequipa Metropolitana, durante el período 2016 – 2017. Para efectos de la investigación, la utilidad neta es el principal indicador del crecimiento de estas empresas, sobre todo, para contrastar y verificar las hipótesis específicas. Materiales y Métodos. Las unidades de análisis son las microempresas textiles que operan en Arequipa Metropolitana. Se trata de una investigación explicativa (establece relaciones de causa y efecto), de campo y longitudinal. Se ha aplicado el muestreo aleatorio para seleccionar a las microempresas textiles que han sido estudiadas. Las técnicas utilizadas son la encuesta, la aplicación de un procedimiento técnico para calcular la inversión en activos fijos, las utilidades netas, y para contrastar los datos sobre las ventas anuales y la cantidad de trabajadores que laboran en las microempresas. Asimismo, se ha hecho uso de modelos econométricos para contrastar y verificar las hipótesis de investigación. Resultados y Conclusiones. Las hipótesis de investigación han sido contrastadas y verificadas a través del uso de modelos econométricos. La investigación concluye que el uso del crédito (para el caso de las empresas que reciben créditos en Instituciones de Microfinanzas), la inversión en activos fijos y la mano de obra (número de trabajadores) influyen de forma directa y positiva en el crecimiento de las utilidades netas que perciben las microempresas textiles que funcionan en Arequipa Metropolitana, para el período 2016 – 2017, y, por ende, en el crecimiento empresarial de estas unidades económicas.

ABSTRACT: Objective. The objective of this research was to analyze the influence of financial and operational factors (credit, investment in fixed assets and labor) in the growth of textile microenterprises operating in Metropolitan Arequipa, during the period 2016 – 2017. For purposes of the investigation, the net profit is the main indicator of the growth of these companies, above all, to contrast and verify the specific hypotheses. Materials and methods. The analysis units are the textile microenterprises that operate in Arequipa Metropolitana. It is an explanatory research (establishing cause and effect relationships), field and longitudinal. Random sampling has been applied to select the textile microenterprises that have been studied. The techniques used are the survey, the application of a technical procedure to calculate the investment in fixed assets, the net profits, and to compare the data on annual sales and the number of workers who work in microenterprises. Likewise, econometric models have been used to compare and verify research hypotheses. Results and conclusions. The research hypotheses have been contrasted and verified through the use of econometric models. The research concludes that the use of credit (in the case of companies that receive loans in Microfinance Institutions), investment in fixed assets and labor (number of workers) directly and positively influence the growth of net profits received by textile microenterprises operating in Metropolitan Arequipa, for the period 2016 - 2017, and, therefore, in the business growth of these economic units
