ABSTRACT. The present research has the aim to determinate the epidemiologic associated factors to more frequent breathing infections in children of 2 months to 5 years old of the Pediatric Servive of Honorio Delgado Hospital.

This one is an observational, retrospective, transversal, descriptive and documental study, compatible with a cases design and of relational level. The documental observation was used to get information from the variables of interest from the clinic histories of the metionated service. So 61 clinic histories were criterialy selectionated. This number was estimated by statistic criterions of α:0,05, z: 1.96, p: 0.50 e i: 0.125.

The results of the statistic treatment showed the fact that, the children of the Pediatric Service of this hospital, the most frequent breathing acute infection were, moderate crup and neumonia without complication, each one with 19.67%.

The most prevalent epidemiologic associated factors were lack of drinkable water with 70.49% and stack with 68.85%.

However the test X2 and Phi coefficient showed that the factors that influenced more statiscally, weren’t exactly the before mentioned factors, except gestational age and socioeconomic level (p < 0.05) wich configurated moderate and small asociations, each one.

Key Words: Epidemiologic associated factors, more frequent breathing infections.
