COMPETENCIAS ADQUIRIDAS EN PEDIATRÍA PARA EVALUACIÓN DEL APRENDIZAJE BAJO ESTÁNDARES MÍNIMOS DE ACREDITACIÓN UNIVERSITARIA EN INTERNOS DE MEDICINA, HRHDE

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo de investigación está orientado a investigar las competencias adquiridas en pediatría y establecer la metodología para la evaluación y seguimiento del aprendizaje en pediatría de los internos de medicina, bajo los estándares mínimos de acreditación universitaria.

Se  aplicó un cuestionario anónimo a 76 internos de medicina distribuidos en dos grupos: los que pertenecen  a la Universidad Católica Santa María (38); y  a la Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa (38).

Se encontró que:1) El 88.12% de las competencias adquiridas en pediatría de acuerdo a los estándares mínimos de acreditación universitaria tuvieron logros mayores al 50%,  2) Las competencias del más alto logro (100%) fueron: identificación de factores de riesgo, signos de alarma en el recién nacido, reconocimiento del cuadro clínico, tratamiento de faringoamigdalitis, neumonía, diarrea acuosa y deshidratación leve y moderada,  3) Las competencias de más bajo logro fueron: el empiema pleural (28.5%), dolor abdominal  crónico (42.88%), acarosis (48.21%),  procedimientos de toracocentesis (35.5%), administración de medicamentos y expansores de volumen durante la resucitación cardiopulmonar (48.75%). La metodología para la evaluación de internos de medicina es conocida por la tercera parte y el seguimiento del aprendizaje de los internos de medicina, bajo los estándares mínimos de acreditación universitaria, mediante programas de tutoría y asesoría por parte de la universidad fue del 14.5% y en el hospital de 1.3%.

ABSTRACT: The present research is aimed at investigating the skills acquired in pediatrics and establish the methodology for the evaluation and monitoring of learning pediatric internal medicine, under the minimum standards of university accreditation.

An anonymous questionnaire applied 76 medical interns divided into two groups: those belonging to the Catholic University of Santa Maria (38) was applied; and the National University of San Agustin of Arequipa (38).

It was found that: 1) 88.12% of the skills acquired in pediatrics according to minimum standards of university accreditation had higher achievement than 50%, 2) The powers of the highest achievement (100%) were: identification of risk factors , warning signs in the newborn, recognition of the clinical picture, treatment of pharyngitis, pneumonia, watery diarrhea and mild to moderate dehydration, 3) The powers of lowest achievement were: pleural empyema (28.5%), chronic abdominal pain ( 42.88%), acarosis (48.21%), thoracentesis procedures (35.5%), medication administration and volume expansion during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (48.75%). The methodology for the evaluation of internal medicine is known by the third party and monitoring learning of internal medicine, under the minimum standards of academic accreditation through mentoring and advice from college was 14.5 and the hospital 1.3%.
